No, we don't see any such risk. Many of the spreadsheet functions are already a part of the OpenDocument standard (although they're not documented in a very detailed way). Even those that are not, are represented in the XLSX file format according to the standard.

You may have noticed that Google has been emulating Excel's functions and functionality to a similar degree for more than a decade now without any such conflict.
